Swiss-hosted · API-first · Lightweight
A document archive that plugs into the rest of your stack.
DocFlow is a lightweight, responsive document management platform — and every UI action is also a REST endpoint. It slots into your CRM, ERP and identity stack instead of replacing them. Need template-driven generation? Bolt on XGenerate, our sibling product, with one HTTP call.
The platform
Ingest, organise, govern and retrieve — all in one archive.
Stop scattering documents across inboxes, shared drives and one-off databases. DocFlow is a single, multi-tenant archive for every document your business keeps — with versioning, categorisation, full-text search, approval workflows and audit trails built in.
One archive for every document
Ingest from any source — upload, API, CRM, ERP, or a sibling generation service. Every document is versioned, tagged, categorised and addressable.
Approval workflows built in
DocFlow doesn't just store and generate documents — it runs the process that releases them: four-eyes approval, co-signature, routing and a complete audit trail. The archive becomes a process tool.
Lightweight and responsive
Fast startup, low memory footprint, snappy UI — a document archive that feels as quick as it needs to be, not a heavyweight enterprise suite.
API-first, integration-ready
Every UI action is also a REST endpoint, OpenAPI-documented and tenant-scoped. DocFlow slots into your existing CRM, ERP and identity stack instead of replacing it.
Swiss-hosted, compliance-grade
Hosted in Swiss data centres on Swiss-owned infrastructure. FINMA-compatible, DSG and GDPR-aligned.
No US CLOUD Act exposure
Swiss-owned cloud, Swiss-owned operator, no US parent in the chain. Your documents sit under Swiss jurisdiction only — out of reach of US subpoenas and the CLOUD Act.
Swiss Made Software + AI
Independent Swiss certification — and transparent about how DocFlow uses AI.
How it works
From ingest to retrieval — in three steps.
- Step 1
Ingest from any source
Documents arrive via web UI, REST API, CRM/ERP, or generation services. Each upload becomes a tenant-scoped, versioned asset with rich metadata.
- Step 2
Categorise, tag, govern
Organise documents in hierarchical categories, apply free-form tags, assign language, and enforce role-based access. Every change is versioned and audited.
- Step 3
Retrieve and integrate
Users find documents through search and filters in the UI. Upstream systems retrieve them through the API — your CRM, ERP or workflow sees the right document in context.
Integrations
Built to plug in — not to lock you in.
DocFlow is a hub, not a silo. Every operation is available over a clean, OpenAPI-documented REST API — and, now, to AI agents over a native MCP server. Authentication federates to your identity provider, and XGenerate is waiting as a flagship bolt-on module the moment you need document generation.
XGenerate — the no-brainer add-on
Need template-driven document generation? Bolt on XGenerate, our sibling product. DocFlow calls it over HTTP and archives the rendered document as a new versioned asset — no glue code, no ETL.
Native MCP — connect your AI agents
DocFlow speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — the open standard for connecting AI agents to tools, so you're never tied to a single vendor. Point any MCP-capable agent at your archive with a DocFlow credential and it can search, read, upload and generate documents through the same permission-scoped, tenant-isolated, audit-logged API a person uses. Because the standard is open, you can pair it with a Swiss-hosted, sovereign AI agent and keep the whole loop — your documents and the AI that works them — under Swiss jurisdiction, with no US CLOUD Act exposure.
CRM & ERP, attach-to-record
DocFlow is the target of attach-file flows from Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite and your custom line-of-business apps. Ingest via REST, retrieve via REST, always tenant-scoped.
OIDC identity federation
Any OIDC identity provider can front DocFlow, with JIT user provisioning. No parallel user directory, no stale credentials to maintain.
Built to be automated
OpenAPI / Swagger-documented REST endpoints cover ingest, versioning, search and retrieval. Event webhooks on the roadmap so upstream systems can react to archive changes.
DocFlow + XGenerate — archive and generation as a single, Swiss-hosted stack. Buy either product standalone, or bundle them and let DocFlow archive every document XGenerate renders, automatically.
Why DocFlow
An archive designed for governance, not a shared drive with search.
Most document tools are file shares with search bolted on. DocFlow is built as an archive from the ground up — every document is a tenant-scoped, versioned, auditable asset with rich metadata, role-based access and a clean REST API.
Multi-tenant from day one, with OIDC authentication, role-based access and a complete audit trail. Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256, Swiss-hosted Postgres and object storage), with customer-managed keys and object-store backups.
Built in Switzerland for organisations that can't afford to guess: financial services under FINMA, Swiss and EU public sector, and regulated enterprise across the DACH region. And when you need template-driven document generation, XGenerate bolts on as a first-class module — DocFlow archives every document it renders, automatically.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about DocFlow
Is DocFlow a DMS (document management system)?
Yes. DocFlow is a Swiss DMS: a multi-tenant document management platform with versioning, categories, tags, full-text search, role-based access and a complete audit trail — built API-first as a lean alternative to heavyweight enterprise suites.
Does DocFlow support audit-proof archiving?
DocFlow is built for traceable electronic archiving: every document version is retained and every change is recorded in the audit trail. This supports the requirements for the orderly retention of business records under the Swiss Code of Obligations and the GeBüV.
Where are my documents stored?
Exclusively in Swiss data centres on Swiss infrastructure, operated by Stratech GmbH, based in Appenzell. No US parent company in the chain: your documents are governed by Swiss law alone — with no US CLOUD Act exposure.
Can DocFlow also create letters and invoices?
Yes. Together with XGenerate, our sister product, DocFlow generates documents straight from Word templates — letters compliant with DIN 5008 and SN 10130, quotes or invoices — and automatically archives every generated document as a versioned asset.
Who is DocFlow for?
For Swiss SMEs and regulated organisations that want to professionalise their document filing: fiduciaries and law firms, financial-services providers, municipalities and public administrations — and for software teams that integrate a document archive into their systems via REST API.
